MEZ - On the job front...

OK so job number one didn't work out. But..

Good news

• My nursing Registration is FINALLY through from the Nursing Council. Thank You! So I can officially and legally work as a nurse here!

• I've handed in another job application. For the position I mentioned previously. Interview dates for this if I get shortlisted will be on the 8th June. So until then we wait. And hope. And pray. I feel positive about this one but also a bit reserved as I don't want to build myself up too much. I suspect there will be a bit of competition for this one as a mon-fri job is much sought after, not to mention the fact that with the cuts they're making here there's probably a fair few other nurses looking.

Not so good news

• Seems in terms of nursing jobs it's just not a good time at all. And we thought Ryan's job was going to be the tough one! I've been a bit scared by the fact that my nursing career may be chopped short out of financial necessity. The nursing agency I'm supposedly working for says that "things are picking up..., we just need you to be flexible". Well that's all well and good but unfortunately I can't be so flexible when we don't have a car.
• Gripe gripe... I'm trying to stay positive. Unemployment sure does suck though. Can't even do any retail therapy to make me feel better!
