Dan & Jax

The Cool air as we walked into Dan and Jax's flat was as welcome as any Oasis for Hot tired and road wearied travellers. And so was their fabulous shower and the amazing BBQ Kebabs they cooked and shared with us! Next day was another wee scorcher so we lazed the day away playing Petanque and Relaxing in the Shade in Parsons Green in Fulham. Abbey was of course looking stunning in her pink polka dotted dress, and enjoyed snuggling Jax for most of the day!

It has been one of the undoubtedly cool parts of being over here, catching up every couple of months with Dan and Jax and enjoying their company... We had them stay with us up in Notingham a couple of weeks before Abbey Joined us, so the latest visit was to introduce our wee lass to a couple of Cussie-Bro's she'll probably get to see a lot more of in the years to come. Next chance we get to catch up with the family will be on a Family dinner in Rome! But Alas Dan & Jax head home in November, and will be sorely missed (by us at least), Despite the infrequency of visits - it always helps to know you have family nearby eh?!

Below are (out of order I realise, some of the better shots from the Nottingham visit a month or so ago... Slack of me to not get them up earlier, but in my defense I did have other things on my mind!!!) Photo of Dan and Jax is from the Major Oak in Sherwood forest where we also indulged in a spot of Archery - Jolly good old chap! Dan was a lot more of a natural than I but I managed to hit a bullseye and Pop the balloon on the stick - It just took me a lot more arrows. Fortunately the tutor was a patient man! Good times anyway.
